| Selecting a Type |
Send Chart and Send Query both require that you first create
the chart or the query in there respective screens from Rank Exec.
Select one of these reports. If you are using the Task Scheduler to run
Position Miner on the current project, make sure the "After Position Miner
Scheduled" is checked. See the help for any more clarification on what
these three checkboxes mean.
 |
| Additional options |
Depending on the report you select, different options may
appear. For the most part, if you do not understand the options and the mouse
over hints do not help, again, consult the installed help. |
| Formats |
Notably, however, is the email format. Most, but not all,
Notifications can be sent in on of three formats: Text, HTML, or as an Excel
attachment.
Text is good if you are anticipating few results-it is quick and easy
and typically will not have problems making its way through any type of
filtering tools.
HTML is generally the best option if the recipient will be analyzing the
results directly from the email. Properly setup, it will produce cosmetically
appealing reports, including linked images of logos and other user settings.
Excel is a good format if you have a need to manipulate the data and/or
you are expecting a large result set. This gives you flexibility. Note that
this version of Rank Exec does not cleanup the field names prior to converting
it. The column names are taken directly from the tables. So, although the data
may make sense, there may be instances where the column label does not. |

Once all selections are made, click Next. Depending on the
Type of report you selected, you may be taken to a third screen, of four. |
