| Starting Notification Setup |
To setup Notification from the Rank Exec main menu, click
Settings | Notification
There are three to four steps, depending on the reports you choose to run, you
will need to go through.

| First Page |
The first page, or steps, has the following functions:
- Select the project you are working on.
- Delete a Notification from the project.
- Add a new Notification to the project.
- Cancel changes you have made on subsequent pages.
- Select a Notification to Edit.
- Finally, setup your email host.

| SMTP Host Setup |
Start by setting up your email host by clicking the Setup SMTP
Host
button. This is not project aware. Whatever you setup here will
apply to all projects and Notifications. The information you enter is specific
to you, but will look something like the image below.

Without first setting this up, or, if you setup incorrectly, Notification will
not send emails. |
| Adding a Notification |
Next, select the project you are working in, then click the
button to
add a new Notification to this project. You can add as many Notifications to
your project as you want. Each Notification, in theory, should be different and
contain information that is valuable to you or other recipients. Be aware that
only one report will be sent per Notification. If you create 10 Notifications
for a project for one recipient, that recipient can expect to receive 10
emails. |
