Page 2 - Creating Projects
Summary Detail
Starting To create a chart, from the main Rank Exec menu select Settings | Project Wizard.
Open Project Wizard

You will note that at the top of the screen are four buttons; "Projects", "Engines", "URLs" and "Terms".
Select buttons

If you are editing a project that already exists, you can go straight to the screen you need to edit, otherwise, if creating a new project, you should start in the "Projects" screen.
Project Name To add a Project click the  Add Project  button. Start by naming your project. Typically, for basic usage, this may simply be the name of your site. Two rules on naming a project: 1. It cannot start with a number 2. The characters must be alpha-numeric, including no spaces.

Search Depth Decide on a Search Depth. Search Depth refers to how far Position Miner will scan a Search Engine on a Search Term before stopping and continuing on the next combination. A typical Search Engine will have 10 results per page. A depth of 50 would mean, in the typical engine, that no more than 5 pages would be scanned. Most search engines do not go beyond 1000 results and many of them return far fewer.
The lists of Search Engines, Search Terms and URLs to the right (grayed), are informational only. As you add these items in subsequent pages they will be displayed here.
When done adding a Project name and Depth, click the  Add Project   button to save, then click either the Engines button or the green, right arrow.
